Benny Wayne Watkins, a resident of Dothan passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at his residence. He was 47 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Wayne was born on May 13, 1970 in Houston County and moved to Ozark, AL at an early age. He attended Carroll High School and was employed with Hobo Pantry where he met the love of his life to whom he has been married for the past 20 years. For the past 10 years he has been employed with Lami Products. Wayne was an avid Alabama Football fan and loved spending time with his two grandsons and going to auctions to buy and sell. He attended Cloverdale Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Kendra Watkins; son, Chris Watkins; daughter, Jadie Watkins; grandchildren, Aiden Watson and Reece Watkins; mother, Ann Elliott; mother-in-law, Dot Singleton; brother, Jeff Watkins; sister, Misty Mizell; several nieces and nephews.
