Wesley Malcolm Grohe

October 9, 1943 — February 8, 2011

Wesley Malcolm Grohe, 67, of Midland City, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at a local hospital.

Services will be 10 am Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36303. Mr. Grohe was born Oct. 9, 1943 in Dale County and lived the early part of his life in Ozark, AL. He was employed with Dothan Nurseries and Buds & Blossoms for over 20 years until his illness. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Grohe was preceded in death by his father Nobel Grohe.Survivors include his wife Myrtle Blackmon of Midland City; sons, Ronnie Blackmon and Tommy Blackmon; daughters, Brenda Wood and Barbara Sheppard; his mother Sarah M. Richter; a brother Bobby Simmons; sisters, Mary Mackert, Becky Alloway, and Sherry Adams; nieces and nephews, Angel Shelley, Keith Alford, Katie Parramore and Jake Parramore. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
