William Earl Deese, 86, a resident of Headland, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, August 15, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cook and Bro. Chris McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery with Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2 pm Friday.
Mr. Deese was born July 6, 1928 in Houston County and lived the early part of his life there. He resided in Henagar, Alabama prior to moving to Headland in 2005. He served as a Pentecostal Pastor in Dothan and a security guard for several years until his retirement in early 1990's. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Dothan. Mr. Deese was preceded in death by his wife Robbie Nell Deese, daughters, Barbara Yvonne Rousey and Annette Fulford, and a son Johnny Mack Deese.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Hilda Deese, Billy Kim Deese and Scotty Jan Fulford; four daughters, Virginia Roe, Jean Nathan Stanton, Tammy Dan Reid, and Wendy Billy Ray Dutton; 115 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a sister Voughn Trader; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Deese, Billy Deese, Chris Roe, Jeff Fulford, Mickey Holland, Billy Dutton, Ronnie Mathis, and Scotty Fulford.
