William J. Bill Hollis

William J. “Bill” Hollis, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his residence. He was 73.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2 pm at Cloverdale Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the Sunset Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm Friday, November 19, 2010. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to ALS Association, PO Box 2888, Huntsville, AL 35804.Mr. Hollis was born in Indiana on January 26, 1937 to the late Joseph and Pauline Hollis. He married Antoinette Hayes in 1989 and was a wonderful husband, her duet in life. Mr. Hollis loved to sing and dance and loved sports especially golf and tennis. He was known by his very infectious smile and ability to keep people captivated with his stories. Mr. Hollis loved Jesus with all his heart and soul. He was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.Survivors include his wife Antoinette Hollis; his children, William Keith Hollis of MO and Lisa Venz of FL; his step children Michael DeSandro of Troy, AL and Regina Daigle of LA; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Andrejewski of MO and Barbara Long of NC.
