William Lee Martin

William Lee Martin, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 lovingly surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 28, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Martin and officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 am. Mr. Martin was born on August 16, 1937 to the late William Horace and Mattie Lee Martin in Dale County and lived the early years of his life in Coffee County. He moved to Winter Garden, Florida where he met the love of his life, Rebecca. After graduating he moved back to Dothan before moving to Napier Field and then to Midland City. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Rebecca Martin; his children, Ricky (Melissa) Martin, Rachel (Mike) Beckon, Shelia Eschbach, Raymond Martin, Amy (Allen) Hendrickson, and Kim (Mark) Walding; his 14 grandchildren; his 30 great grandchildren; his brother, Norman Max Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Serving as active pallbearers will be Brandon Martin, Joshua Martin, Joseph Beckon, Ashley Culp, Fred Sitz, and Devin Peterson.
