Willie Jo Bond, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the age of 92, in Bonifay, FL. Born on February 24, 1932, in Wicksburg, AL, Willie Jo was the beacon of love and kindness in the lives of all who knew her.

Willie Jo, a graduate of Wicksburg High School, was a lifelong learner and an active member of her community. She married the love of her life, Jimmie Frank Bond, in 1950, and together they embarked on a journey that saw them move frequently due to Jimmie's military service. In 1969, they planted their roots back in Wicksburg, where Willie Jo became a beloved figure at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, serving faithfully until her health declined.

Throughout her life, Willie Jo was the heart of her home, embodying the role of a homemaker with grace and joy. She was often described as the best mom in the world, a testament to her sweet and loving nature. She had a generosity that knew no bounds and her love for God and people was evident in every action she took.

Willie Jo was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jimmie Frank Bond, her parents, Sam and Glades Hubbard, her son, Jimmie Michael Bond, her daughter-in-law, Teresa Bond, her brother, Herman Hubbard, and her sister-in-law, Carmen Hubbard. Her legacy continues through her sons, Ronald Keith Bond (Barbara), Joel Douglas Bond (Becky), and Jerry Marx Bond (Debora), as well as her brother, Larry Hubbard (Gwen). She was a treasured matriarch to many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the light of her love.

Willie Jo's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, service, and faith. She was the embodiment of a loving spirit, touching the lives of those around her with her gentle presence. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.

As we bid farewell to Willie Jo Bond, we celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved family members who have gone before her. Her story is one of unwavering devotion, boundless love, and a life beautifully lived.
