Willie Earl Jackson went home to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was 74. In consideration of community health and public safety due to the COVID 19 Virus, funeral services for family will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 1 pm with Rev. L.C. Green officiating. Close friends of Willie Jackson can view the services online at http://sunsetmemorialpark.com/. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Willie was born on November 22, 1945 in Houston county; the son of James and Lillie (Keener) Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army. Willie was employed as a sign painter and later as a wood finisher until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of Cherry Street AME Church. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, James (Marjorie) Jackson; his nephews James Jackson, Jr., Edward Jackson and Benjamin Jackson; his niece, Minister Linda Whitehead; his first cousins, Karen Coleman and Governor Jackson; and a host of relatives and friends.
