Willie Pearl Lee, 70 years old, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be held 4pm Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Wade Register officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3pm -4pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lee was born on September 23, 1948 in Barbour County and she moved to Dothan at an early age. She has been employed with Flowers Hospital for over 30 years and at the time of her retirement in 2010 she was part of the 4th Floor Med Surgical team. Mrs. Lee loved to garden and was known for having a green thumb. She loved growing vegetables, especially peas. She took pride and joy in her beautiful flowers. Sewing, arts and crafts were other hobbies she enjoyed, and she loved to share with others. Mrs. Lee loved to read and talk about the Bible and was very involved in Bible studies. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and has been attending the South Park Congregation for the past 44 years. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, Sedric Lee; a brother, J.D. Burks. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Robert Lee; her son Reginald (Jennifer) Lee; her daughters, Cynthia (Toby) Hinson and Christel Lee; three grandchildren, Bianca Anderson, Meghan Davis and Emmelia Lee; her mother, Lula Burks; a host of extended family including, her aunts, uncles and cousins; and two very special friends, Mary Powe and Alice Hookfin.
