Willie James Mcgriff, Jr.

Willie James McGriff, Jr., a resident of Kinsey, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was 17.

rnFuneral services will be 11 am on Saturday, May 21, at Greater Antioch Baptist Church in Gordon, AL with Rev. Ernest Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at Sunset Funeral Home. rnWillie was born on March 25, 1994 in Houston County and resided in Kinsey all of his life. He was a junior at Houston County High School. Willie loved music, and played the guitar, keyboard, and drums. rnWillie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine and Robert Ridgeway. rnHe leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Willie and Evelyn McGriff, Kinsey; 2 sisters, Eletta and Ericah McGriff; 4 brothers, James Willis and Jeremiah McGriff, Carlos Brown, and Brandon Mitchell; his grandparents, James Earl and Minnie Pearl McGriff and Johnny Williams; special friends, Aaron McKee and Christen Peifer; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
