Mrs. Willie Jean McInnes, 75, of Headland passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Timothy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. At all other times the family will be at the home of Cindy Buie, 6863 Old Webb Rd., Webb, AL. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. McInnes was born August 22, 1937 in Elmore County, Alabama and spent the early part of her life there. She was a graduate of Eclectic High School. She married Harold McInnes in 1956 and they moved to several locations across the U.S. prior to moving back to the Wiregrass area 20 years ago. She has lived in Headland for the past 18 years and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses attending the Cottonwood Road Kingdom Hall. Mrs. McInnes was preceded in death by her parents Harley and Christine Darby, and a son-in-law Byrd Buie.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Harold F. McInnes, Sr. of Headland; her sons, Frank Joann McInnes of Webb, Patrick Tanna McInnes of Chattanooga, and Daniel Lynn McInnes of Dothan; her daughters, Cindy Buie of Webb and Laura McInnes of Headland; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a sister Nina Wallace Owens of Weoka, AL; a special nephew Joe Sandra McInnes of Alexander City, AL also survives.
