Willie F. Reynolds, a resident of Dothan passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 68.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Feb. 13 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
rnMr. Willie Fairy Reynolds was born September 8, 1941 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Fairy Reynolds and Henrietta Frazier Reynolds. He was the second of ten children born to this union. He was a 1959 graduate of Newville Rosenwald High School. He united with Rocky Mount Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until relocating to Dothan. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church serving joyously in the Male Chorus. He loved singing and had been a member of the Henry County Male Chorus. Willie was a lover of people. He was kind and compassionate to all he met. His profession as a businessman and tire salesman/repairman afforded him the opportunity to meet and great the public. He was known and loved by many individuals. He was a devoted member of the Wiregrass Elks Lodge where he served in many capacities.Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Herbert Reynolds, a sister, Anniette Reynolds, grandparents, John and Mozell Frazier, Delia Reynolds Horn and Vapus Reynolds. He is survived by two brothers, George D. Irma Dell Reynolds, Columbia, SC and Lavond Renee Reynolds, North Augusta, SC. Six sister, Marrion Samuel Glanton, Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Ruben Thomas, Dothan, AL, Myrtice Vincent Goodman, Riviera Beach, FL, Delia Reynolds, Midland City, AL, Cleothra Jimmy Rhodes, Rex, GA and Olivia Rencher, Jonesboro, GA. Sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty-five great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews. A host of relatives and friends. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
