Wilma was born on October 2, 1930 in West Virginia. She grew up in West Virginia and Kentucky during the Great Depression. Wilma was a remarkably simple and humble woman who focused on the important things in life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Wilma had a kind heart and gentle spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frederick Walton Sr.; and her son, John Daniel Walton.
She is survived by her two sons, William (Lamoon) Walton of Dothan, AL and Frederick L. (Paula) Walton of Diamondhead, MS; her granddaughter, Meena (Ron) Hamilton; her great-grandson, Alexander Hamilton; and her brother, Raymond Ray of Baltimore, MD.
