Cathy Morgan Stephens went peacefully to her Heavenly Home on April 11, 2022.
Originally from Southside, AL, and a graduate of Southside High School, Gadsden State Community College, (LPN) and Chattahoochee Valley Community College, (RN), she was a career nurse and resident all around the state including Atmore, Odenville, and Eufaula before settling in Midland City.
Her love for family, especially children and grandchildren, inspired her to do what was needed to ensure they had everything they needed. This compassion also carried into her work so that her patients always received the best care she could provide, or direct, to help them get better.
Greeting her in Heaven are husband, James Stephens; parents, Melvin and Betty Morgan; daughter in law, Vickie Stephens; brothers in law, Wayne Stephens and Tommy Stephens; sisters in law, Claudia Stephens and Mary Stephens; and several nephews.
Cathy is survived by her children, Brent (Lisa), Todd and Carrie; grandchildren, Maegan, Jake, Sara, Colbey, Lucas, Eva and Will; sisters, Patsy (Steve) Snyder, Darlene Connor and Jennie (Mike) Condit; brothers, Jim (Stefanie) Morgan and Tim (Lynn) Morgan; brothers in law, Mickey Stephens and Don (Shirley) Stephens; sister in law, Jacquelyn Stephens; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 2pm at Sunset Memorial Park in Midland City, AL for family and friends. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to the charity of your choosing to allow her memory to continue to serve those in need.
