MSG Richard Ezell Chadwick , U.S. Army (Ret.) a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his residence. He was 75 years old.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am Monday May 16, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Marks officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until service time at the funeral home. Military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
MSG Richard Ezell Chadwick , U.S. Army (Ret.)
Was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on December 12, 1946 to Leamon Ezell and Nellie Jean (Howard) Chadwick. On August 17, 1949 he was joined by his twin brothers Ronald and Donald.
He enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and served in Vietnam and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant in 1985. He then retired from Housing and Urban Developement ( HUD) in San Antonio, Tx in 2012. His true passion was fast cars, especially Corvettes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ronald and Donald Chadwick. The three sons would always have a close bond until their deaths in 2016.
He is survived by his children Constance Eva Williams (Royce) of Dothan, Alabama and Richard Ezell Chadwick II (Kara) of Sarasota, Fl. Four Grandchildren Kyle (Alison), Kelsey (Derek Barfield), Conner (Kalyn) and Ava Jean. Six great grandchildren Lorelai, Jerome & Walker Mac Williams, Roland, Cannon and Samuel Barfield and multiple nieces and nephews.
